Parker's entry into our family is very similar to Britton's entry.......http://mmount07.blogspot.com/2008/09/britton-is-here.html
I was sent straight to Baptist Women's Hospital after my 36 week check up due to high blood pressure (on Thursday October 13th). After two days of observation and two "spikes" in high levels of BP a C-section was scheduled for Sunday October 16th.
Parker arrived at 4:39pm weighing 5lb 1oz and 18 inches long.
He first went to the well baby floor but after an hour in recovery a nurse came down to tell us he was having raspy noises in his breathing and they sent him to the NICU. He stayed in the NICU until we were both released on Wednesday October 19th. He never had to be on a respirator but did have an IV for feeding purposes. After he worked his way up to taking breast milk he was taken off the IV.
As for me the blood pressure has come back down to "normal" without medication this time.
P weighed 4lb 13oz when we brought him home, wearing Preemie clothes just like his sister!!!
